Android 11 Update to Reach Eligible Pixel Phones in India
Android 11 is coming to eligible Google Pixel phones in India next week, the search giant said during a statement to Gadgets 360. the newest Android update was released earlier in the week, and it had been unrolled to the Google Pixel 2 and later models globally following the official debut. However, Google restricted the rollout of Android 11 for all the eligible Pixel phones within the Indian market thanks to compatibility issues. Android 11 brings features like Conversations and Bubbles also as one-time and auto-reset app permissions.
Multiple Pixel users in India complained about the unavailability of the Android 11 updates shortly after its rollout happened within the global markets. Some users also took the difficulty to Google’s Pixel Phone Community forums.
Google hasn’t revealed the precise reason behind the delay. However, as noted by Android Central, it’s likely to be related with the eSIM functionality of Google Pixel devices as Airtel and Jio both offer eSIM support for Pixel phones.
This is notably not the primary time when Google has taken a selective approach concerning the Indian market.
the corporate last year announced that it had decided to not launch the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL within the country. “We determine availability supported a spread of things , including local trends, and merchandise features,” a Google spokesperson had said at that point .
